Week 2 In HK

Hi everyone!!! Wow this week has been such a good week!!! I've tried do many new things and it's been so fun I just feel so blessed to be here!

We've been doing a TON of sign finding this week! We're not aloud to walk up to people on the street, but people can walk up to us so we've been holding signs for hours at a time which has been pretty successful! Its been my favorite finding method so far for sure... but weve also done balloon finding we call it haha I learned how to make balloon animals and give them to kids and hopefully talk to their parents and get their numbers hahaha its worked a couple times but its so funny

I have also tried a lot of new foods this week... most of its pretty weird and most of the time i dont even know what it is, but ive learned not to ask and just eat it haha I had octopus off the street today which was a lot better than you would think! plus it was spicy so it was pretty good! oh my goodness and I went to lunch with some other new missionaries and our mission president this week at a really nice place! He said that he ordered this next dish specially for me... chicken feet. then he goes "yeah so just bite off the knuckle, suck all the meat off and spit out the bone" yeah okay hahah it was okay but i wouldnt buy that for myself hahahaha

I got the first covid vaccine shot this week because now i have a hong kong ID and everyone who gets it, is enetered into a drawing to win free land at the upcoming festival they have haha so finger crossed

I went to monkey mountain this week too and sheeeesh monkeys are way cuter in the cartoons let me just tell you haha they used to be my favorite animal but i will be changing that haha its funny so the mountain is just full of monkeys and theres just trails that you walk around on and theres soooo many monkeys!

Im still getting used to people staring at me haha i had a guy stare at me our whole train ride... if we were in the usa i would for sure call 911 haha but my companion says theyre just super curious so i tried not to make eye contact haha

weve been teaching so many lessons! Its just go go go and I love it! everyone were teaching is so nice about my cantonese too haha and I got up on sunday and shared my tesimony, so scary and I honestly dont even rememeber what all i said but people came up to me after and said it touched them so thats good haha

Our Missions motto is "yauh baahnfaat" (theres a way) because usually people say "mouh baahnfaat" which is like no way but we know that through God, there is always a way!

I love and miss you all so much, and thank you for the prayers and emails, i will try and respond to them as soon as I can ;)
