Wow, this is really my last weekly! Which means my time as a missionary is coming to and end! I will be coming back to the states, my home, this thursday! It doesnt feel real quite yet actually!  This week was full of basically saying really hard goodbyes! I truly and literally have fallen in love with this place and all the people that live here. Its so hard to leave! This week and this coming week im really trying to soak up mission life, and everything good in it!  Our friend Calvin will be baptised this coming sunday, im so proud of him! He made it so i can Join on Zoom and watch his baptism! hes about 30 years old, He progressed so fast and he is so excited to get a calling! Tomorrow he has his drivers test and asked us to pray for him! He asked me so many questions about how to use all the buttons on the car haha I never really realized how complicated driving is haha its been a while but I helped him study a little bit, but geez I could not drive in Hong Kong! Its crazy...

The Hot Hong Kong Summer

Hey!! This was was really good! I didnt have time to write last week, but last week was also super good!! Ive kinda been the worst at writing weeklys, basically my entire mission haha so im going to write a real one this week about what we actually do!  But first, lets talk about the weather... Literally I cant believe in experiencing another Hong Kong summer, I cant believe I made it out of the last one alive! I just walk outside and my hair my clothes my body, all just so sticky and wet! Theres always extreme weather hear warnings and everyone carried around a fan and a rag to wipe their sweat!  Last week we had an FHE for all the ysa in our ward at the bishops House! Ysa here are normally like 18-50 years old.. Were teaching a lot of "ysa" haha so we invited them and three of them came and got to know more members their age, it was great! We played some games, an that part was so fun but we had to memorize everyones full chinese name and then be able to say it really fast ...

Miracles

Hi everybody! I wish I had more time to write this week! Even though I say that every week, this week I really mean it!! So many things happened this week that I will remember forever! A big miracle for our area is that this week we put three of our friends on date for getting baptized! 啊燕, katrina, and siu 小姐!it was such a big miracle! And so many little miracles in our experiences teaching them! I am so excited for them!!!  I had my last interview with President Chan before the exit interview! He said that he will miss me, Him and I both were pretty emotional talking about my last weeks here in Hong Kong! We set some good goals together to  enjoy  to the end of my mission!  God is good, and I could not be doing His work without His help!  Love you all and cant wait to see you! Sister Clanton  Pictures!  Saturday night, gamenight! (see my sunburn) (its a tan now, no worries)  Dinner at the Hui's House  Lots of rain Good food, as always ...

Waiting For Missionaries To Call!

Image
Hey!! SO MANY MIRACLES THESE PAST TWO WEEKS! its been shown to me over and over on my mission that Gods work will continue moving forward no matter what!  The Hong Kong temple was re-dedicated, we watched a broadcast of it in our chapel with other Missionaries!! It was super cool and special to be able to be here for that! Im so happy that the Hong Kong people can have their temple back! I know so many of them are so excited to go inside again!! Such a great blessings for the members here! Missionaries can start going to the temple as often as once a month starting August! Crossing my fingers i can go before I leave Hong Kong!  We found a lot of people interested in hearing about the gospel, three of them told us that theyve just been waiting for Missionaries to call! They were in contact with Missionaries before the pandemic, and when covid broke out, all the Missionaries had to leave HK and they hadnt heard from Missionaries until we called them! Kinda special!! So glad we c...
