This is not clickbait Haha this has been a craaazy week!! Hamster funerals, two trips to the hospital, and no running water!  ☆ Tuesday afternoon I get a call from the APs telling me theyre on their way to come pick up my companion and I because another sister we live with is in an ambulance on the way to the hospital with her companion, and President Chan said he doesnt want her companion to be alone at any point. So we go and be with them and the elders and were there for like 4ish hours... At some point we had to eat, so we go with her companion and grab sandwhiches from the 7/11, but right now in Hong Kong its illegal to eat out/outside passed 6pm, so we had to hide in this sketchy staircase and eat so fast haha Then she was released and nobody there knows what happened (she was having intense stomach pain) and then the APs drove us home and shes fine ☆Our second trip to the hospital was to get our booster shots! We got them and our mission president said that he got really sic...

This is going to be a quicky! Not much new this week, a lot of our friends are sick and cant even meet over the phone, my companion and i have been trying to find new creative ways online to find new people to teach, and we went to monkey Mountain last week! I feel like last week I made it sound like were locked inside our apartment haha Sorry we are not! I can leave, a lot of places like parks and restaurants are just shut down and our mission pres doesnt want us street contacting too often! My companion and I have been together since she first got to hong kong in October and we've gotten super close! Super grateful for her and her flexibility with changing restrictions and schedules! We're best friends!  Something I didn't know about Hong Kong before coming here was how many purple flowers there are! Hey everybody! This week on thursday we got a long message from our mission president that the variant of covid, omicron is spreading really fast in Hong Kong!! So now were on online church and cant meet with people in person, so sad! Im just grateful that we can stay in Hong Kong and serve as Missionaries still! But I do hope it gets better soon too, the government says wait it out for two weeks, but it might go longer than that Every few days the government sends out a list of places people who have tested positive have been and then the mission sends it to us. Its very specific with bus routes, Building sections, and times. If Weve been wherever it says then we drop everything and go get tested immediatly! If one of us Missionaries tests positive, then most of the mission will be sent to government quarantine camps for three weeks... Were being really careful, were glad we got to squeeze one last trip to disney last pday!  Weve been staying inside, trying to get in at least one ...

Hey! Surprise theres two this week!! HAPPY NEW YEAR This week was just at crazy as the last, but still so much fun, and im just so happy to be serving at this time!  Funny story  A couple days ago, we were doing some studies on our study room, and all of a sudden outside our window we see two men just climbing up our building! Were on the 20th floor, so we never would have thought anything like this would happen haha theyre doing construction and had to build these thingd to climb up, anyways, they were a little too excited to see two white girls studying in a room, we messaged our mission office for curtains asap, but anyways... We made friends with the men and even got a selfie with them and they through up peace signs haha cool guys, they were surprise we knew chinese and were really nice!  I had a cool experience this week with meeting someone new! We were calling some numbers from past missionaries, and a man named Keith answered his phone! He really opened up to me ...

Hello!! MERRY CHRISTMAS  Sorry I didnt get to write last week! So this is for last week!! It has been a crazy holiday season! So So fun We had such a fun Christmas on the mission! It was full of lots of service, singing, eating, and teaching others about the birth of the Savior! We met with lots of members and had our missionary Christmas concert! It was really fun and good to see everyone smile (through their masks) in the audience :)  We had a really good december zone conference with our mission!! I love my mission family!  It dropped to 9 degrees here! It was so cold!! After the sweaty summer, I had no idea hong Kong could even get this cold! We didnt have a heater in our apartment and we were all sleeping in 15 layers!! But it only lasted like two days so were okay now!  Love you all and hope you had a MERRY Christmas last week  Sister Clanton
