So Fun

Hey everyone! SUCH A GOOD WEEK  Not a ton of time so this will be quick!  I've been out of quarantine for three months now!! I really am so grateful tbat that get to serve the Lord, and be here in Hong Kong while I do it!  This week we had zone conference which was very spiritually uplifting! It was also so fun to see all the new Americans!  Everybody talks about how hard it must be for the Americans that dont/haven't gotten to come to Hong Kong and have been put or will be put in reassignments! I'm lucky to have been able to come straight to my assignment! I know a lot of missionaries serving here, that are from Hong Kong and were originally called to serve somewhere else- the Philippines, Hawaii, England etc. Some of them were even here when the mission shut everything down because of covid and they were the ones that started the mission, pretty much from the ground up again! I'm so grateful for all the local missionaries we have in this mission! For them, serving ...

Hi everybody! Good week, not a lot of time to write today but not too much this week!  We had transfers and sister ho left us to go train a new American wayyyy out in Yuen Long, so far away so sad BUT she's going to do great! So now it's just sister pang and I but we have TONS of fun together. We're getting to know eachother so well, when we go out to eat she'll be like "ohhh you'll like that" or "ehhh you'll think it's too chewy" haha  On Wednesday (before the Americans got out of quaratine) we had one last little pizza party with all the sisters in the mission,  plus a couple summer missionaries, because now with more sisters we won't all be able to gather as much! So that was super funn  Sundays are always CRAZY for us, we have so many meetings and wards and lessons, it's insane! Plus we had to give talks and as soon as we were done, had to book it to another meeting on a different floor haha we were at the church from 8:30-5pm...

Hi friends! SUCH A GOOD WEEK  First things first how are you guys doing, I would love to hear from you this week! So feel free to tell me what's new with you and how is going back home!  We had another chapel tour this week! I guess there's like a free tours in Hong Kong group on Facebook so people sign up and our chapels are one of the free tours!  My companionship was in charge of speaking on missionary work and explain what we do and just kind of what were all about! I get a little stressed and nervous for those because I have to speak Chinese in front of large groups of locals... but, I put that all behind me and just full send it haha  We had cheng at the lam family's house! The kids are members but the parents are not, and we got to teach them a little bit while we were there, but we don't think right now is there time and that's okay! But they were so sweet to feed us! I had to ask my companions before we went about what's polite and impolite haha and the...

Hey everybody! Not too much this week but just know that Im absolutely loving every second out here!  One of my favorite things I love about teaching people is hearing first prayers, or sometimes just them praying in general! Let me tell you about our sweet friend A-Mìhng, so A-Mìhng is our 30ish year old friend in Macau (missionaries can't go to Macau right now so we just teach him over the phone) and hes just cuter than pie, he told us that he wanted to go to church yesterday! So we sent him the zoom link,  and towards the end of the zoom meeting, (we were in Relief society here in HK) we join the zoom and look for him and couldn't find him! So after the meeting he calls us and is like "sisters, sisters it wasn't working, I tried an hour to join but I didn't know how" then he asks if we can pray together and he says it and okay when he prays he talks in third person it the street thing, he says something like "A-Mìhng is so sad he couldnt join the churc...

It has been a busyyyy week, filled with little miracles and learning experiences!  I went on exchanges this week with my fav Sister Nebeker! We were in quarantine together! It was so fun, we went to find people on the street to talk to, and  we kind of just full sent it and with our broken cantonese were able to talk to a bunch of people and a couple people were interested in hearing about the Gospel! We stopped a school girl on her way home from school and then all her friends turned the corner and she yells to them "they know Chinese!!!!" And then they all come over and are just so amazed that these two 鬼妹 knew Chinese it was so so funny, Her and I almost got lost a couple times, had to ask for directions from like four different people, got on the wrong bus but hey we made it to where we needed to be, just a little bit late haha The exchange was kind of a glimpse for each of us to see how having a white companion is, because we probably both will be training in a couple we...
