Wild Boars

Hi everybody! Good week, not a lot of time to write today but not too much this week!

We had transfers and sister ho left us to go train a new American wayyyy out in Yuen Long, so far away so sad BUT she's going to do great! So now it's just sister pang and I but we have TONS of fun together. We're getting to know eachother so well, when we go out to eat she'll be like "ohhh you'll like that" or "ehhh you'll think it's too chewy" haha

On Wednesday (before the Americans got out of quaratine) we had one last little pizza party with all the sisters in the mission,  plus a couple summer missionaries, because now with more sisters we won't all be able to gather as much! So that was super funn

Sundays are always CRAZY for us, we have so many meetings and wards and lessons, it's insane! Plus we had to give talks and as soon as we were done, had to book it to another meeting on a different floor haha we were at the church from 8:30-5pm! It's fun but we usually don't get to eat until we get home (unless a sweet member gives us some food, then we we eat it right then and there bc we're starving haha)

You'll all be happy to know that I can know flip a fried egg using only chopsticks, getting pretty good with them haha and as usual I'm eating lots of spam, dumplings, Ramen, and fish balls in the house, but when we go out, usually tombjai, mcdonalds, hot pot, or dimsum

I guess there's like a festival in Hong Kong where they think that the doors open and all the ghosts are around ?? Im not too sure but people will put out offerings of food and things to make friends with the ghosts and spirits so they don't hurt or haunt them! So we passed some on the street the other day, and we saw these two wild boars eating all the offerings which was really weird because we were in the middle of the city and then this lady from across the street comes running like screaming at the boars, it was really funny

My cantonese is comin along little by little, my favorite thing is talking to people on the street randomly and watching watching mentally connect the dots that a white person is speaking to them in Chinese haha we have a one friend that we pass everyday at the same time that we always say hi to, he's not interested in hearing from us, BUT that's okay because we're just good friends! Sometimes I say something wrong or something and someone will laugh at me, but I laugh to so it's more like they're laughing with me right? Yes

it's crazy how many things are different here then the states and what im used to, even the mcdonalds, right! But one of the one things thats the same is the Gospel is the same here, there, and everywhere and the truths that God is our Heavenly Father and loves all of us, no matter our skin or anything!! Its been so cool to see

That's all for this week! I'm just so happy and excited to be here serving a mission! I'll talk to you all next week!
