The APs Are Coming And The Hamsters Are dead

This is not clickbait

Haha this has been a craaazy week!! Hamster funerals, two trips to the hospital, and no running water! 

☆ Tuesday afternoon I get a call from the APs telling me theyre on their way to come pick up my companion and I because another sister we live with is in an ambulance on the way to the hospital with her companion, and President Chan said he doesnt want her companion to be alone at any point. So we go and be with them and the elders and were there for like 4ish hours... At some point we had to eat, so we go with her companion and grab sandwhiches from the 7/11, but right now in Hong Kong its illegal to eat out/outside passed 6pm, so we had to hide in this sketchy staircase and eat so fast haha Then she was released and nobody there knows what happened (she was having intense stomach pain) and then the APs drove us home and shes fine

☆Our second trip to the hospital was to get our booster shots! We got them and our mission president said that he got really sick after getting his, so if we needed to, we could have a more chill day the day after. So Saturday, everyone in our apartment was soo sick and achy, but Saturday night, we had to teach a dance class, so we popped some tylenol and taught a class over Zoom! 

☆We found a new friend called Allen this week! Finding has been a really big struggle in our zone area for a long time so we feel super blessed to have met someone who is genuinely interested in learning about our church! 

☆So the hamsters.... I guess a pet Shop had a breakout of covid here and so they killed all the hamsters :/ 

☆Our new fav snack: warm rice with condensed milk and cinnamon on top... Cant get enough of it, try it no regrets

☆On wednesday and Saturday night, our apartment buildings water turned off for some reason... I definelty took running water for granted! Lucky we live right across from our chapel, we could run over and brush our teeth and things there

☆Last week for pday we went to big buddha! Its under construction still, but we could see the top! Super interesting to see the different things of this part of the world! 

Im loving being a missionary and appreciate all the support from home! Hope everyone is doing well!
