Waiting For Missionaries To Call!

Hey!!
SO MANY MIRACLES THESE PAST TWO WEEKS! its been shown to me over and over on my mission that Gods work will continue moving forward no matter what!

The Hong Kong temple was re-dedicated, we watched a broadcast of it in our chapel with other Missionaries!! It was super cool and special to be able to be here for that! Im so happy that the Hong Kong people can have their temple back! I know so many of them are so excited to go inside again!! Such a great blessings for the members here! Missionaries can start going to the temple as often as once a month starting August! Crossing my fingers i can go before I leave Hong Kong!

We found a lot of people interested in hearing about the gospel, three of them told us that theyve just been waiting for Missionaries to call! They were in contact with Missionaries before the pandemic, and when covid broke out, all the Missionaries had to leave HK and they hadnt heard from Missionaries until we called them! Kinda special!! So glad we could find them again and share the gospel to them!

We had two zone finding this week, which is when we go finding in a specific area with our whole zone Missionaries! We all went to yuen long and switched companions for a few hours and went out talking with everyone! I went out with sister woodings, and together we literally talked to e v e r y b o d y it was so fun! We met some interesting people and gave a guy drinking his second beer of the day a Book of Mormon haha! We also talked to this lady who had never heard of Jesus Christ! When we told her who he was, It was kinda funny, she got really scared and thought someone named Jesus Christ was following her, because we said he "knows" her haha but we explained to her a little more of Him and Heavenly Father, and at the end she said she was really touched, because she said she doesnt have any living family anymore¿ tbh we couldnt really undersand her accent very well lol, but she wanted to hear more so the yuen long sisters share with her now!

One night this week, all of a sudden all of our power went out. I thought something was wrong with mayeb just our apartment, but I looked outside and its usually super bright with all the Building outside, but it was black, I watched building by building lose power! Kinda scary, we thought it was the apocalypse for real! The big box thing in charge of all the power in Tin Shui Wai, Yuen Long, and Tuen Mun, EXPLODED! We didnt have power, water, service, nothin! Kinda weird, but I feel like the community really came together! We went outside to share some flashlights with others and help people find their friends, haha it was so dark but kinda fun! We actually ran into another guy outside downstairs who used to be in contact with some Missionaries a long time ago! Hes from nigeria and he insisted that I was the same sister Missionary from south America he knew five years ago, at first I was just going along with it lol but I eventually had to tell him I am not from south America haha The power came back on a few hours later... It wasnt the end of the world, but nice to connect with neighbors like that!

Guys my mission is going so fast! Im seriously so grateful for everything ive experienced and been able to do on my mission! I want to share a quote from a popular general conference talk that we shared in a lesson this week and I really like it!

"You should never feel like you are in a waiting room.
Waiting upon the Lord implies action. I have learned over the years that our hope in Christ increases when we serve others. Serving as Jesus served, we naturally increase our hope in Him.
The personal growth one can achieve now while waiting upon the Lord and His promises is an invaluable, sacred element of His plan for each one of us."
