Wow, this is really my last weekly! Which means my time as a missionary is coming to and end! I will be coming back to the states, my home, this thursday! It doesnt feel real quite yet actually!
This week was full of basically saying really hard goodbyes! I truly and literally have fallen in love with this place and all the people that live here. Its so hard to leave! This week and this coming week im really trying to soak up mission life, and everything good in it!
Our friend Calvin will be baptised this coming sunday, im so proud of him! He made it so i can Join on Zoom and watch his baptism! hes about 30 years old, He progressed so fast and he is so excited to get a calling! Tomorrow he has his drivers test and asked us to pray for him! He asked me so many questions about how to use all the buttons on the car haha I never really realized how complicated driving is haha its been a while but I helped him study a little bit, but geez I could not drive in Hong Kong! Its crazy on the road here
We spent a lot of time with little kids this week actually! So, usually, the hung shui kiu sisters are in charge of this service in our are. Every friday they teach a bunch of kids ukelele! Well, this week they were still quarantined, so they had me teach the whole hour long class... I dont play the ukelele! Hahaha I do now! It was super fun, the kids were so cute! It was a bunch of kids that dont have parents, and so it was really tender to see and be with them for that hour and (together) learn how to play ukelele!
We went over to a friend were teaching, kiu kiu's House for the first time this week! Their mom wanted us to teach the son english, so we came a little bit prepared for a little english lesson and then a gospel message! Well, we showed up and she had invited a bunch of other little kids together to learn english from us LOL so we were running a full on elementary school english class okay. It was super cute, I absouletly love teaching these little Hong Kong kids how to speak in english! The majority love to learn, but this day, there was one Kid, maybe three years old, who was suuuuper scared of teachers, just any kind haha and then I walked in an I watched him exqmine my face, realize that I was white, and he started crying even more. It was so sad, but slowly he started warming up to me, and by the time i left, we were homies. His name english name was Brian, so cute
Were teaching a nine year old names chun wai the gospel! This week, he told us that he prays everyday that God can show him his life purpose and a right Path for His life! We were like huh?? Haha his spirit is wayyyy older than nine! We invited him to our fireside where the theme was plan of salvation and our life purpose! He got so excited! So he came on saturday, and during the activity, he leans over to me and whispers "i found my life purpose" and then he took his grandma who brought him there, and he left haha, he said he got what he needed! He is so funny!
Love you allll! See you in a few days!!!!
